What is Flag Football?

Flag Football is a variant of American Football, a ball sport that originated in the United States. The key difference from American Football is that the defensive player stops the offensive player who is in possession of the ball by pulling a flag from his belt, instead of physically tackling him like in American football. In a sport dominated by physical force, Project Pick Six deliberately relies on a non-contact alternative. In addition to the aspect of violence, there is a wide variety of other reasons for this. On the one hand, Flag Football is easier to implement because it requires fewer players, coaches and much less financial resources. Furthermore, this variant of Football is easier to learn due to a reduced set of rules.

Flag football also has several educational advantages:

Flag Football will be an Olympic sport at the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles.
